How to crop an image

Cropping is possibly the easiest way to enhance a photograph by eliminating unnecessary sections of the photograph to strengthen the focus on a particular element of that photograph.

Select the cropping tool in the side toolbar. Draw a rectangle around the section of the screen to be cropped.

The darkened section of the screen will be discarded. The selection can be further modified by dragging the side points.

When your selection is complete simply press the RETURN key to crop or the ESC key to cancel the crop.

By eliminating much of the unnecessary foreground and background this image now presents a much stronger focus on the divers.

Being able to perfectly frame a subject through cropping means there is far less need to worry about achieving perfect framing when taking the original photograph.
